SPECIAL SERVICES FOR ST.PETERSBURG CRUISE PASSENGER SHORE EXCURSIONS
According to Russian Federation law, cruise passengers can stay in Russia for up to 72 hours without a conventional visa.
* 90% of the cruise ships that come to St. Petersburg dock for 2 days. Some ships such as the Azamara and Oceania Regatta dock for 3 days and a few others dock for 1 day. If your ship docks for 1 or 3 days instead of 2 days, please fill out the submission form below for a revised proposal.
DAY 1: Your excursion will begin with a driving tour of St. Petersburg. As your St. Petersburg tour guide I will ask what special areas of interest you have and plan the driving excursion around your interests. For example, perhaps you are interested in Churches and Cathedrals or would prefer to visit Jewish sites. Next we will drive to and visit Catherine's Palace and the Amber Room in the village of Pushkin (formally known as the Village of the Tsars). The Amber Room is one of the new 7 wonders of the world. Next we'll visit will the Peter and Paul Fortress. This is the original construction commissioned by Peter the Great. It is said that when Peter the Great arrived on Hare Island, where the fortress is located, he announced "Here there will be a city!" He was absolutely right, and now approximately 5 million people live in St. Petersburg. After enjoying views of the fountains from the beach of Peter and Paul Fortress, the driver and I will return you to the ship after a day of up to 8 hours. If you would like, it is possible to add the Peterhof Grounds or Peterhof Grounds and Palace (known as the Russian Versailles). As another alternative we can finish the day with a Jewish Faith excursion. Prior to your arrival to St. Petersburg these details will be worked out. For additional information or to request a revised itinerary please fill out the submission form.
DAY 2: Your day will start with Nevsky Prospect, the main street and the heart of St. Petersburg. Here you'll have an opportunity to explore the city on foot for 1 hour or make a visit to the Kazan Cathedral. In the 1930's the government turned the Kazan Cathedral into the Museum of Religious History and Atheism. It has since been returned to a functioning Russian Orthodox Church. The next visit will be to the Church on Spilled Blood, which is famous for its Russian onion domes and beautiful mosaics. After visiting the church we'll have a shopping opportunity at an outdoor market. After a short 15 minute walk we will arrive at Palace Square, which is home to the Hermitage Museum and the Winter Palace. The Hermitage is the most famous museum in St. Petersburg and one of the largest art museums in the world! As with all the museums we will skip the long lines at the Hermitage (which can be several hours long), because I am a licensed tour guide and authorized to use a different entrance.
Please fill out the submission form to check availability.
