ST PETERSBURG TOUR GUIDE
Warm Greetings! My name is Anya (Anna).  I’d like to tell you about myself and the services I offer as a tour guide in St. Petersburg.  I've been a private tour guide in St. Petersburg for the past 9 years.  At the start of my tour guiding career I worked with an American owned tour company.  I then started my own web site, because it allows me to offer my guests more competitive St. Petersburg tour guide fees.  That means your tour is more affordable!  I'm happy to arrange a tour and serve as a tour guide for those arriving both by land and sea.

CURRENTLY I'M OFFERING A SPECIAL ON SHORE EXCURSIONS FOR 2009 CRUISE PASSENGERS.  LEARN MORE HERE.

I can also arrange for exclusive events, as well as organize tours at the normal sites you’d expect to visit while enjoying a tour in St. Petersburg.  If you'd like to see some examples of my “Best of St. Petersburg Tours” or to request a tour designed for your group, click here!

Feel free to tell me about any special areas of interest you have and I’ll be happy to include them in your tour of St. Petersburg.  Some exclusive events can include a private canal boat tour in your own private boat or enjoying dinner in a St. Petersburg  home.   It is my goal as your licensed St. Petersburg tour guide to provide you with the most exciting and interesting tour you've ever had!

SPECIAL OFFER AND PRICING FOR ST. PETERSBURG CRUISE PASSENGER  SHORE EXCURSIONS
The following is a tour program I developed specifically for guests arriving to St. Petersburg by cruise ship and are interested in having a private tour guide.  This tour includes everything you'll need to come ashore such as:

-  My services as a tour guide in St. Petersburg.
- VisaFree Program Voucher, so you don't need to get an expensive Russian Visa.
-  Museum tickets and photo camera tickets where applicable.
- Private driver or appropriate transportation between the ship and the sites.
-  The driver and I will pick you up directly from the ship after passport control, and return you to the ship in the evening so you won't have any concerns on where to meet me as your St. Petersburg tour guide or how to get back to the ship.

DAY 1:  Prior to your arrival I will have mailed you a VisaFree program voucher, so you won't need to buy an expensive Russian Visa.  Citizens of the UK typically pay over 100 pounds Per Person and American Citizens pay about $220 Per Person after all the fees are added up, so my VisaFree Program Voucher means big savings!  On the first day we will begin at 8:30 after you have passed through passport control.  The driver and I will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it.  We'll travel the several KM from the ship to the area of the port gates and then begin our driving tour.  As your St. Petersburg tour guide I will ask what special areas of interest you have and plan the driving tour around your interests. For example, perhaps you are interested in Churches and Cathedrals or would prefer to visit Jewish Sites.   Our driving tour will include a trip down the main street in St. Petersburg known as Nevsky Prospect where I will point out various architectural master pieces and palaces.  If you are not sure where you'd like the driving tour to take us, I can suggest visits to various famous monuments throughout St. Petersburg for photo opportunities.  Next we will drive to and visit either Catherine's Palace and the Amber Room in the Village of the Tsars or go to the Peterhof Grounds.  Peterhof has over 150 fountains and 4 giant water cascades.  As your St. Petersburg tour guide I will ask your preference between Peterhof and Catherine's Palace after explaining the two sites to you.  With this tour you can visit either both the Peterhof Grounds and Catherine's Palace or visit only one of these attractions.  Below there is an explanation in the price difference between visiting both or only one.  Peter and Paul Fortress is next on the itinerary.  It is said that when Peter the Great arrived on Hare Island, where the fortress is located, and announced "Here there will be a city!"  He was absolutely right, and now approximately 5 million people live in St. Petersburg.  After enjoying views of the massive fountains from the beach of Peter and Paul Fortress, the driver and I will return you to the ship by approximately 4PM.  It is possible to add the Peterhof Palace in addition to the Grounds and the Peter and Paul Cathedral in addition to the Fortress for an additional fee.

DAY 2:  The driver and I will pick you up from the ship at 9am and deliver us to the heart of St. Petersburg on Nevsky Prospect.  Here you'll have an opportunity to explore the city on foot for 1 hour or make a visit to the Kazan Cathedral. In the 1930's the government turned the Kazan Cathedral into the Museum of Religious History and Atheism.  It has since been returned to a functioning Russian Orthodox Church.  The next visit will be to the Church on Spilled Blood, which is the most recognizable church in St. Petersburg Russia.  Here we'll have a shopping opportunity at an outdoor market.  Built in the 20th century it is designed in 17th century medieval architecture with the famous iconic Russian onion domes.  After a short 15 minute walk we will arrive at Palace Square, which is home to the Hermitage Museum and the Winter Palace.  The Hermitage is often referred to as the most famous museum in St. Petersburg.  As with all the museums we will skip the long lines at the Hermitage, because I am a licensed tour guide and authorized to use a different entrance.  This means we save valuable time by skipping the long lines.  When we are done touring the inside of the Winter Palace and Hermitage our driver will pick us up and deliver us back to the ship.  This tour day typically ends at approximately 3:30 or 4PM.
