ST PETERSBURG TOUR GUIDE
Warm Greetings! My name is Anya and I am a St. Petersburg tour guide.  I was born and raised here during the Soviet Regime and from 2001-2010 I have been a licensed tour guide. I'm passionate about providing exciting tours of the beautiful St. Petersburg Russia!  I specialize in private tours for those arriving by cruise ship, train or airplane.  For those arriving by ship I offer something called VisaFree vouchers.  With these documents you can have a private tour of St. Petersburg without having to buy an expensive Russian visa or join an overcrowded bus tour with 50 or more people!  It is even more exciting that my prices for your private group will be very competitive compared to the prices of the cruise ship bus tours.

CURRENTLY I'M OFFERING A SPECIAL ON SHORE EXCURSIONS FOR 2010 CRUISE PASSENGERS.  CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS.

For those of you arriving by airplane or train my Best of St. Petersburg tour is a fantastic option.  It is my goal as your St. Petersburg tour guide to provide you with the most exciting and interesting tour you've ever experienced.  If you have any special areas of interest please feel free to let me know and I’ll be happy to include them in a custom tour of St. Petersburg. Some exclusive events can include a private canal boat tour in your own private boat or enjoying dinner in a St. Petersburg home.

SPECIAL OFFER AND PRICING FOR ST. PETERSBURG CRUISE PASSENGER  SHORE EXCURSIONS
* 90% of the cruise ships that come to St. Petersburg dock for 2 days.  Some ships such as the Azamara and Oceania Regatta dock for 3 days and a few others dock for 1 day.  If your ship docks for 1 or 3 days, please fill out the submission form below and I will be happy to send you a custom St. Petersburg tour proposal.

This tour includes Everything you'll need to come ashore for your St. Petersburg tour.  Your tour includes:
-  Tour guide in St. Petersburg for up to 8 hours per day.
- VisaFree Program Voucher, so you don't need to buy an expensive Russian visa.
-  Museum tickets and photo camera tickets where applicable.
- Private driver or appropriate transportation between the ship and the sites.
-  Port access.  This allows drivers and tour guides to enter the international area of the port to pick you up directly from the ship after you go through passport control.  This way you won't have any concerns about where to begin your St. Petersburg tour.

DAY 1Prior to your arrival I will have sent you a VisaFree program voucher, so you won't need to buy an expensive Russian visa.  Citizens of the UK typically pay over 100 Pounds per person and American citizens pay about $220 per person for a visa after all the fees are added, so my VisaFree program vouchers mean big savings.  When you come off the ship, the driver and I will be waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it.  We'll travel several KM from the ship to the area of the port gates and then begin our driving tour.  As your St. Petersburg tour guide I will ask what special areas of interest you have and plan the driving tour around your interests.  For example, perhaps you are interested in Churches and Cathedrals or would prefer to visit Jewish sites.   Next we will drive to and visit Catherine's Palace and the Amber Room in the village of Pushkin (formally known as the Village of the Tsars).  The Amber Room is one of the new 7 wonders of the world.  Our next visit will be to the Peter and Paul Fortress.  This is the original construction commissioned by Peter the Great.  It is said that when Peter the Great arrived on Hare Island, where the fortress is located, he announced "Here there will be a city!"  He was absolutely right, and now approximately 5 million people live in St. Petersburg.  After enjoying views of the massive fountains from the beach of Peter and Paul Fortress, the driver and I will return you to the ship after a tour day of up to 8 hours.  If you would like, it is possible to add the Peterhof Grounds or Peterhof Grounds and Palace (known as the Russian Versailles) for an additional amount to the price listed below.  It is also possible to substitute the Peterhof Grounds instead of Catherine's Palace.  Prior to your arrival and tour in St. Petersburg we will work out these details.  For additional information or to request a revised itinerary please fill out the submission form below.

DAY 2The driver and I will pick you up from the ship and the driver will drop us off in the heart of St. Petersburg on Nevsky Prospect.  Here you'll have an opportunity to explore the city on foot for 1 hour or make a visit to the Kazan Cathedral. In the 1930's the government turned the Kazan Cathedral into the Museum of Religious History and Atheism.  It has since been returned to a functioning Russian Orthodox Church.  The next visit will be to the Church on Spilled Blood, which is famous for its Russian onion domes and beautiful mosaics.  After visiting the church we'll have a shopping opportunity at an outdoor market.  After a short 15 minute walk we will arrive at Palace Square, which is home to the Hermitage Museum and the Winter Palace.  The Hermitage is the most famous museum in St. Petersburg and largest art museum in the world.  As with all the museums we will skip the long lines at the Hermitage (which can be several hours long), because I am a licensed tour guide and authorized to use a different entrance.  After touring the inside of the Winter Palace and Hermitage our driver will pick us up and deliver us back to the ship.

If you would like to have me as your St. Petersburg tour guide please feel free to request me personally.  Otherwise it's possible one of my experienced, fluent in English, licensed and trusted colleagues will be your tour guide.

You do not need a Russian Visa with with this tour!!!
